A Man for Special Tasks

Damnjan Knezevic, leader of a far-right informal group People’s Patrol (Narodna patrola), drew public attention again last week, when he was arrested over a call to demolish “Cacilend”, a pro-government tent camp outside the Parliament of Serbia, and to take action against migrants. Knezevic has long been suspected of being one of the associates of Aleksandar Vucic’s government, carrying out special assignments when needed. One of the arguments supporting the claim is that he has never been convicted, even though he was arrested and suspected of criminal offenses more than once.
