The Foreign Ministry called on Feb. 28  on Serbian citizens to not travel to Iran, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait or Bahrain until further notice due to the sudden deterioration in the security situations there and war operations in the Middle East region.

After the U.S. and Israel attacked Iran, which retaliated by launching drones and missiles against Israel, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain, the ministry said Serbian citizens already in those countries were advised to remain composed, act calmly, consistently follow the recommendations and directions of the local authorities and follow notices issued by Serbian diplomatic offices.

Considering the disruptions and interruptions in air traffic in a part of the region, passengers are advised to regularly contact airlines to obtain timely information about next steps and opportunities to resume travel, the ministry said.

According to available records, 14 Serbian citizens, including seven with dual Iranian and Serbian citizenship, are in Iran at the moment, the ministry said, adding that all of them were well and in regular contact with the embassy.
