Air Serbia Airbus A330 (BETAPHOTO/LUKA FILIPOVIC/EV)
Late on March 3, an Air Serbia flight carrying 67 passengers from Sharm el-Sheikh landed in Belgrade as part of the evacuation of Serbian citizens from the Middle East, which began on March 2, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced.
In addition to citizens of Serbia, the passengers comprised citizens of Montenegro, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Slovenia, evacuated from Israel.
Damjan Jovic, a secretary with the Interior Ministry, underscored that it is the state’s responsibility to take care of its citizens in all circumstances, good and bad, which is why the flight was organized to evacuate Serbian citizens caught in areas affected by the latest armed conflict.
