Djuro Macut (BETAPHOTO/MILOS MISKOV)
Serbian Prime Minister Djuro Macut has said that all in his cabinet are subject to scrutiny, because he was unhappy with the work of certain ministers.
Speaking to the RTS public broadcaster, Macut said he had been trying to bring these issues before those ministers, “sometimes using a stern tone, and sometimes in friendly talks in his office or during Government meetings.”
“I am trying to direct those people, many of whom are young, to take a different approach to certain things. To switch from political mode of thinking to operative, that is executive mode,” Macut noted.
He also said that generally, he was satisfied with the overall dynamics of his cabinet performance, but added that better coordination between individual ministries was required, as sometimes two or three ministries were engaged on the same issue.
