A member of parliament and president of the Serbia Center party, Zdravko Ponos, assessed on April 22 that the future prime minister of Hungary, Peter Magyar, found his conversation with the Serbian president not worth being mentioned.
“Vucic boasted on Instagram on April 21 about having had a telephone conversation with Peter Magyar. It is good that the call took place. It is bad that, judging by Magyar’s social media accounts, he found that conversation not worthy of mention, unlike the conversation he had with Robert Fico (the prime minister of Slovakia),” Ponos wrote in a post on X.
He further assessed that President Vucic based relations with other countries on family businesses and secrets. “When you base relations with other countries on family businesses and secrets, when you rule like a medieval ruler in Europe in the 21st century, it is normal that you are treated accordingly. We are paying a high price for the brutal privatization of the state and of foreign policy,” Ponos emphasized.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced on April 21 that he had “an important and good telephone conversation” with the newly elected prime minister of Hungary, Peter Magyar, However, in a video clip he published on his Instagram account, Magyar mentioned all the officials he spoke with during the day, except the Serbian president. Vucic was only mentioned in the caption of the video.
