A Ukrainian delegation scheduled to visit Serbia will not be headed by the country's president Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as mentioned in some media reports, but by Deputy Prime Minister Taras Kachka, the Ukrainska Pravda website reported on May 19.
It said that Zelenskyy will not visit Serbia this week and that Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Kackha will head the delegation instead of him.
Citing diplomatic sources, N1 reported earlier that the Ukrainian delegation was expected to visit Serbia this week and that it could be headed by Zelenskyy.
Since the start of the war in Ukraine, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic visited Ukraine only once, on June 11, 2025 to attend a Ukraine-Southeast Europe summit in Odesa.
Vucic did not sign a declaration adopted at the summit condemning Russia's war against Ukraine, explaining that by doing so "I did not betray Russia," the Ukrainian media has reported.
