Foreign Minister of Serbia Marko Djuric and the speaker of the State Assembly of Slovenia, Zoran Stevanovic, concurred in Belgrade on June 17 that relations between Belgrade and Ljubljana were good, stable and friendly.
“Cooperation in the economic, political and cultural spheres, and in the European and regional context, is exceptionally important for Serbia,” Djuric stated. He went on to say that Belgrade “appreciates Slovenia’s continuous support to date in the process of European integration and expects this support to become more intensive in the near future,” it was declared in a statement.
He added that “Serbia is ready to fulfill all the necessary conditions in the process of social reforms because the free flow of people, goods, capital and services in the region and alignment with the EU would relax the relations and the tensions that still exist.”
Stevanovic is paying a several-day visit to Serbia.
