Bosnian Federation's Minister for Veterans Dies of Coronavirus

Minister for Veterans of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Salko Bukvarevic, has died at Sarajevo's Lung Disease Clinic after he tested positive for the coronavirus, the city media reported on July 29.

Bukvarevic, aged 53, was hospitalized on July 22 with severe symptoms, and was placed on a ventilator a couple of days later.

Over the past 24 hours eight persons have died due to the consequences of a coronavirus infection, five in the Federation and three in the other Bosnian entity, Republika Srpska. Since the beginning of the outbreak, the total number of coronavirus deaths has risen to 316.

Bosnia has reported a record number of new cases - 363. The total number of cases has reached 11,130, and 5,441 patients have recovered.
