Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Nov. 2 that the Balkans could be a driving force behind European growth in the future, adding though that cooperation was essential.

"If we don't work together, we are too small...If we work together, our power triples, and we can make better political decisions for our countries during talks with the European Union (EU) and other outside actors" Vucic said at the 5th Regional Youth Leadership Forum "Connectivity at a Time of Pandemic: Threats and Opportunities."

Speaking at the online forum attended by the Albanian and North Macedonian prime ministers, Edi Rama and Zoran Zaev, as well, Vucic said that the region had great potential, and that it could report one of the highest GDP rate in Europe.
