The prime ministers of North Macedonia and Albania, Dimitar Kovacevski and Edi Rama, had a joint meeting with President of Ukraine Volodimir Zelensky on June 1, on the sidelines of the Summit of the European political community.

According to the statement of the government in Skopje, Kovacevski pointed out the strong support North Macedonia has been providing to Ukraine since the start of Russia’s aggression on Ukraine in February last year.

“North Macedonia has condemned the brutal military aggression of Russia on the independent and sovereign Ukraine. We support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and its right to define its own path. We have and will continue to provide support in any form,” Kovacevski said at the meeting with Zelensky.

The president of Ukraine thanked for the support Ukrainian people are receiving from North Macedonia, and pointed out that its support came in crucial moments. “You have not made calculations, you have been with us since the first day and the Ukrainian people and we appreciate it,” Zelensky stated, as quoted by the media service of the government in Skopje.
