Donald Trump Jr., the son of U.S. President Donald Trump, said in Banjaluka on April 7 that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban was a true fighter for Western values and convictions, saying that that was fundamentally important, not just to Hungary, but Europe as a whole.
During a panel discussion in Banjaluka he called the countries of Eastern Europe "Europe's last hope" and criticized Western countries which had allowed excessive migration, especially France and the UK which he described as "Muslim countries."
"People in Eastern Europe are ready to fight for these values, fight to preserve the traditions that they value and are very highly harmonized with the U.S. 's, and these people need to be supported," Trump Jr. said.
He added that the people who led these countries needed to be helped and that he believed it was of key importance to ensure that those who shared the values of the Trump administration won elections.
Igor Dodik, organizing secretary of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats and the son of party leader Milorad Dodik, said on March 7 that Donald Trump Jr. had come at his invitation and that the visit was not paid.
