Montenegro Imports the Most from Serbia, Germany and China

Montenegro’s foreign trade in 2019 totaled EUR3bn, with imports sixfold higher than exports, statistical authority Monstat has stated. Montenegro imported the most goods in 2019 from Serbia, Germany and China, B92 reports. 

The country traded the most with CEFTA signatories and the EU, said Monstat, as reported by Montenegrin website investitor.me. 

Goods exports in 2019 amounted to EUR415.5m, whereas imports totaled 2.6bn. 

Montenegro’s biggest foreign trade partners were Serbia (EUR107.9m), Hungary (45m) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (29.8m). Last year, Montenegro’s foreign trade saw a 2.1% rise relative to 2018.
