Ambassador: Swedish Companies Interested in Investing in Biomass, Biogas

Swedish Ambassador to Serbia Annika Ben David said on Oct. 26 in a discussion with Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Zorana Mihajlovic, that Swedish companies were interested in investing in all sectors in Serbia, especially biomass and biogas, a statement has said.

The ambassador said that Sweden strongly supported Serbia on its road to integrating with Europe and that Swedish companies were interested in investing in the mining and energy sectors. "The green transition is very important to us, there is an interest on the part of our companies in all sectors, especially where biomass and biogas are concerned," she said.

She also congratulated Mihajlovic for her achievements in the area of gender equality. "We are here to exchange experience and cooperate even more, both in the battle against gender based violence, which also affects Sweden, and in other areas," the ambassador said.
