A franchise agreement between France’s Accor and the Serbian Promont Group will make Fruske Terme the first Movenpick Hotel in Serbia, placing the spa complex on the world’s map of tourist attractions, the president of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Marko Cadez, said on June 22.

Cadez underlined that the new investment in Fruske Terme would make the spa resort in the Fruska Gora Mt. one of the largest contributions to the Open Balkan joint offer for tourists. Cadez added that it’s also an important advantage in a competition for the host of a specialized inernationla exhibition, Belgrade Expo 2027.

“The arrival of Accor in Serbia and a decision to invest in Fruske Termpe have placed one of the region’s most beautiful spa complexes among the top global tourist destimations,” Cadez was quoted by the Chamber. The French group employs 270,000 people, and owns 40 brands and 5,300 hotels across the world. It has already launched a couple of brands in Serbia, including the Mama Shelter Hotel and the Mercure Belgrade Excelsior Hotel.
