The Serbian Chamber of Commerce said on Oct. 16 that startups from Serbia had participated in the world’s largest event devoted to startups and investors, Expand North Star, in Dubai, where they presented their ideas and solutions in a wide array of sectors and attracted the attention of global players in the digital industry with whom they established contact and arranged new jobs.
During the three-day conference, the startups held over 800 meetings and talks with potential partners including Hazleen Ahmad, a global investor and leader in the construction of inclusive ecosystems, Britain’s Bethnal Green Ventures, and also signed contracts with companies from India and South Korea, a statement said.
Expand North Star is part of Gitex Global, the world’s biggest tech fair, while over 20 startups from Serbia showcased between Oct. 12 and Oct 15 a broad spectrum of innovative products in the areas of artificial intelligence, financial, health and education technology, cybersecurity, mobile apps, e-commerce, climate technology, agricultural technology, gaming, blockchains and Web3.
“Our startup Reputeo, received a reward in the area of cybersecurity, Baby FM with its solution for measuring temperatures in real time was among the top one hundred and entered the semi-finals of the Supernova Challenge contest. Everyone who partook in North Star came with brilliant ideas and solutions and successfully presented them and attracted great attention,” Serbian Chamber of Commerce advisor to the chairman for innovation and IT Nebojsa Bjelotomic said adding that the event was attended by the Serbian startups: NJUPPA, LenaAI, Baby FM, NegotiateWind, MyFlow, TRAKEN, Codekido, PuRe AI, Kampster AI, Reputeo, Sferikon, Smartsy, Ysource Solution, SEE UP, Athena Ai Search, Silver Bell Group, CarSync, SpiceAds, EWD Technology, OROOK i AgrO3.
