Exactly two weeks after the Kosovo police shut down the institutions of the Serbian government in northern Kosovo, President Aleksandar Vucic presented to citizens Belgrade’s set of measures and demands with regard to the latest tensions in that area. Apart from additional financial aid for the Kosovo Serbs and the opening of clerks’ offices aimed at making their life easier, the measures and demands predominantly seem like a wishlist, seeing as their realization is either unrealistic or not up to Belgrade. That means the whole thing is above all a populist act for the public in Serbia.
