Serbian MPs adopted this week a budget rebalancing bill for 2024, allowing the Government of Serbia to borrow more in order to finance growing expenditure. The expenses largely involve the cost of the international specialized exhibition EXPO 2027, hosted by Belgrade, which also includes the construction of a national football stadium. The bill provides more generous budget allocations for the military as well, most of which will be covering a purchase of French Rafale fighter jets, and for the agriculture.
