Authorities Without Response to Rebellion

The student blockades of faculties across Serbia, launched on Nov. 25, have spread beyond all expectations. Several dozen state faculties in four university centers – Belgrade, Novi Sad, Nis, and Kragujevac – are blocked. As information on new blockades keeps coming in daily, one gets the impression that the authorities led by Aleksandar Vucic lack an adequate response to the student rebellion and that their primary objective is to make sure their electorate does not doubt the validity of their moves.
