After more than five months of a non-violent fight for the fulfillment of their demands, the students who are blockading all state universities in Serbia announced on May 5 that they were demanding an instantaneous dissolution of parliament and the calling of a snap general election. That could be a step toward an exit from the deep crisis in the country, but it is still not known how the regime spearheaded by Aleksandar Vucic will respond to that demand, as it is signaling that going to the polls does not suit it.
