If there is one prominent feature that can be gathered from Transparency Serbia’s eight long years of election monitoring and witnessing “campaigns from office,” it is the fact that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and several of the ministers (those known for being his most loyal allies in the government) have been running a permanent campaign ever since 2014. Owning to these incessant promotional activities, the public has stopped distinguishing between what are officials’ duties, i.e. what is in their job description, and what are their activities deserving to be reported as news.
