The Serbian regime, spearheaded by President Aleksandar Vucic, has over the past several days faced an altered political situation, reflected in the western countries’ growing engagement in the Balkans, but also in direct pressure on Belgrade. In parallel, on the home front, Vucic is facing increasing importance of environmental issues in the public to which he does not seem to have an adequate response.
