The participation of leaders of right-wing opposition parties in a recent meeting of the leaders of Serbia and Republika Srpska in Belgrade has deepened divisions in the Serbian opposition and additionally diminished the likelihood of cooperation between the nationalist and pro-European blocs. One gets the impression that the invitation sent to the right-wing opposition parties had been a maneuver of sorts by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, designed to widen the gap within the opposition.
