The first round of a vote for mayors, aldermen and alderwomen in Kosovo’s 38 municipalities should be a serious warning to the ruling Self-Determination movement, well-versed political analysts in Kosovo say. Unlike previous elections, when Kosovo’s ruling parties would win local polls, too, the first election round on Oct. 17 had quite a different outcome.
