After a two-year break, the European Union (EU) opened at last week’s intergovernmental session new chapters in Serbia’s accession negotiations with the Union. Two days later, the European Parliament passed a resolution on forced labor in the Chinese tire factory Linglong in Zrenjanin and environmental protests in Serbia, voicing clear criticism of the authorities in Serbia. Yet no major changes should be expected in the EU policy on Serbia.
