A referendum on amendments to change the Constitution of Serbia in the segment regulating the election of judges and prosecutors has become a fist-class political issue, as all political actors believe it’s just a rehearsal for general elections expected to take place on April 3. The chances are that the referendum will be successful and that the Constitution will be amended because there’s no threshold to make it conditional on. For the referendum to succeed any turnout will do, and the choice supported by more than one half of those who take to the polls will be the valid one.
