Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic began his second, five-year term on May 31 after being sworn in at a special Serbian parliament session. In his inaugural speech Vucic announced that a new cabinet would be put together by the end of July and hinted that it could consider joining Western sanctions against Russia for invading Ukraine. Introducing sanctions against Russia is definitely going to be the central question in creating the new cabinet and Vucic has several options to choose from.
