Last week’s report that the European Parliament (EP) was planning to demand that Serbia’s accession talks with the European Union (EU) should be suspended until Belgrade joined the Union’s sanctions against Russia echoed loudly enough at home. A chance of the freeze sparked rumors that more radical measure might be in store for Serbia, like the withdrawal of European companies, a decision to re-introduce visas for travel to the EU and even EU sanctions against Belgrade.
