Last week’s report by Belgrade-based N1 TV, that the European Parliament rapporteur for Serbia Vladimir Bilcik had requested that telecom operator Telekom Srbija be removed from amendments to his report on Serbia’s progress, raised the question of the Slovak MEP’s motive to take that stance. It also raised the issue of the EU representatives’ attitude toward the regime of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, which uses Telekom Srbija to influence the media market.
