Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic’s public addresses after two mass shootings in the country once again confirmed his aim to present himself as “the great leader” who controls all social processes. At press conferences, Vucic, among other things, presented personal information on citizens which he should not be in possession of and dictated to the government measures that it should adopt. Numerous media outlets were not at the required level during reporting on the crimes either, seeing as they were not mindful of ethics and professional standards.
