On May 20 the Serbian Cabinet accepted most of the demands of farmers which it dismissed only a week ago. The government changed its mind after farmers blocked roads in several dozen cities from the north to the south with their tractors for five days. Evidently the authorities reasoned that they do not need another front in addition to the Serbia against Violence protests and have, it would seem, eliminated one threat.
