Serbia’s ruling majority led by the Serbian Progressive Party made an unprecedented move last week by deciding to block an inquiry committee set up by Serbian MPs to establish the facts and circumstances that led to two mass murders at the beginning of May. The decision made by Aleksandar Vucic’s regime is a logical consequence of the years-long devaluation of the Parliament’s role, marked by a series of obstructions.
