Serious Challenges Ahead of Dodik

Milorad Dodik, the president of the Bosnian Serb entity, Republika Srpska, is in the most difficult situation in his decades-long political career. To all appearances, he is facing a very serious trial before a court of law, and the rallies he organized last week failed to demonstrate his power, whereas the opposition is unlikely to support him in the face of charges raised by Bosnia and Herzegovina’s prosecutors. Yet it still does not mean that Dodik’s staying in power is in real danger.
