A day after Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced that parliamentary, provincial and local elections in some cities and municipalities could take place on Dec. 17, the heads of local self-administrations began handing in their resignations, on orders of the leadership of the Serbian Progressive Party. Despite this increasing the odds of elections on Dec. 17, whether or not citizens will go to the polls will only be known when they are scheduled.
