On June 13 the Serbian Cabinet appointed senior Serbian Progressive Party official Vladimir Orlic as director of the Security and Information Agency, a day after the National Security Council gave its consent for the appointment. The appointment is a continuation of the established practice of appointing politicians who have nothing to do with the security system nor any experience in the area.
