The young and educated leader of the Democratic Party of Serbia, Milos Jovanovic, is the first politician in the country nominated as a candidate for Serbia’s upcoming presidential vote. Jovanovic, a docent at Belgrade’s School of Law was promoted on Sept. 12 as the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Alternative (NADA, meaning “hope”) coalition, which his party has formed with the Movement for the Restoration of the Kingdom of Serbia (POKS) and 23 citizens’ associations.
