Institute for Oncology and Radiology director Danica Grujicic will be the first name on the ruling Serbian Progressive Party’s ticket in parliamentary elections on April 3. By picking 20 nonpartisan figures and authorities in the areas of medicine, science and culture to lead the party’s ticket, with Danica Grujicic as the first candidate, Progressive party leader Aleksandar Vucic wants to show that the party is not supported just by “common folk,” but also intellectuals and prominent individuals, as well as stop the attrition of the party’s nationally-oriented voters.
