Shadowy Buyer of a Symbol of Belgrade

Aleksandar Kajmakovic, an owner of numerous hospitality venues in Belgrade, found himself in the spotlight again this week after news broke out that he had purchased the Genex Tower in New Belgrade, whereby a trend of selling buildings that are symbols of Belgrade continued. The building’s new owner, as in some previous cases, is a person whom part of the public suspects acquired their wealth illegally or has connections to criminal groups.
