The prime ministers of countries of the Visegrad Group announced in Prague on March 4 that they were ready to help Greece, North Macedonia and Serbia, which are first on the "Balkan route", in order to stop the new wave of refugees from Turkey as far south as possible.
The migrant crisis from 2015 must not be repeated, Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis said at a joint news conference with the prime ministers of Poland, Slovakia and Hungary.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban warned that protecting the Greek-Turkish border does not guarantee the suppression of the new wave of the migrant crisis because, allegedly, as he stated, tens of thousands have already crossed that border.
It is therefore necessary to help the countries on the Balkan migration route, primarily North Macedonia and Serbia, in stopping their advance towards Central Europe. We must stop that mass as far south as possible, Orban stated.
