The Serbian Ministry of Health announced on March 11 that another seven people have been diagnosed with COVID 19, which brings the total number of infected to 12.
According to the ministry's website, since the latest report on March 10 until 8 a.m. on March 11, 13 people have been tested for the novel coronavirus, of whom seven were positive and six negative.
Director of the Hospital for Infectious Diseases in Belgrade Goran Stevanovic told the RTS public service on March 11 that the high number of new cases was the result of irresponsibility, since all are linked to the same source.
Stevanovic also said that of the seven new cases, only one patient, in Novi Sad, is in a relatively serious condition, whereas the condition of the other six is moderately serious.
„This surge in the number of new cases is partly due to the irresponsibility toward the company, the surroundings, as they all come from the same source. I urge the citizens to follow the instructions issued by relevant bodies. If you have a cold or sneeze, don't attend any meetings or gatherings, don't organize parties,“ Stevanovic added.
