Russian Team Chief: 16 Facilities To Be Disinfected this Week

Mikhail Chernyshov, heading the Russian team of experts deployed to Serbia, has said that Serbia has demonstrated a high level of preparedness and organization in combating coronavirus spread and is carefully following recommendations by Russian doctors.

Chernyshov said that Moscow had sent a team which had experience in disinfecting crucial health institutions, while doctors had been deployed to three health institutions in Belgrade and Valjevo.

“In Belgrade alone, six major health institutions, including the Military Medical Hospital VMA, have been disinfected, while another 16 facilities where the people infected with coronavirus have stayed or are currently staying, are planned for disinfection this week,” Chernyshov told the April 14 issue of Belgrade daily Vecernje Novosti.

The commander of the Russian CBRN defense team said that a unit of experts had been deployed to Nis, that disinfection in the vicinity of Belgrade would continue and that he had been consulting with Serbian experts about facilities that should serve as temporary hospitals to treat COVID-19.
