Covid-19 Takes 162 Lives in Serbia, 8,275 Confirmed Infected

Six people have died of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours in Serbia, making the death toll of the epidemic now 162, it was announced on April 27.

Darija Kisic Tepavcevic, deputy director of the Batut Institute, told a news conference that 233 new cases had been confirmed in the same day, which means that a total of 8,275 people are confirmed infected.

Of the 2,701 currently hospitalized Covid-19 patients, 85 are on ventilators, while 1,209 persons have recovered from Covid-19. Presence of the novel coronavirus has been confirmed in 30 institutions of social welfare, and 75 recipients of their services and 24 employees have recovered from Covid-19.
