The Hemofarm pharmaceutical company has donated 110 monitors for tracking the health status of Covid-19 patients in the value of EUR400,000, the company said in a press release on May 4.

Hemofarm director Ronald Seeliger said that the message "To Serbia with Love," written across the truck carrying the shipment of the medical equipment, summed up the feelings of all 6,000 workers of Hemofarm owner Stada Group, who worked three shifts, seven days a week to ensure safe supply of medication.

Serbian Health Minister Zlatibor Loncar accepted the donation on behalf of Serbia, thanking Hemofarm and announcing that, once the Covid crisis is over, a large portion of the monitors would be sent to wards caring for prematurely born babies.

German Ambassador to Serbia Thomas Schieb stressed that the Covid-19 pandemic had shown everyone that togetherness was the key to solving all challenges, including this one, and that Germany was sure to continue its economic cooperation with Serbia as well as working against the novel coronavirus.
