President of the Democratic Alliance of Croats in Vojvodina Tomislav Zigmanov said on Aug. 24 that representatives of the party had recently talked with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic about their potential participation in the executive in Serbia.
"It was noted that this kind of situation, in which Croats do not have their own representatives in the government, is not very sustainable, but without any concrete solutions. A conversation will soon be started on the subject, and we are interested in being involved in the decision-making processes at all levels of government," Zigmanov said at the opening of an international scientific conference titled Croatian-Serbian Relations, Extremism as a Destabilizing Factor in the Region.
He added that during the meeting with Vucic, it was acknowledged that Croats in Serbia were "excluded" from decision-making, but that readiness was also demonstrated for solving the problem.
