Expert: Infection Rate Among Vacationers Returning Home Being Monitored

Deputy director of the Batut public health institute Darija Kisic Tepavcevic  said on Aug. 27 that the rate of Covid-19 infections among people returning home from their summer vacations was being monitored.

Kisic Tepavcevic told Serbian state TV that, every day, the Crisis Headquarters was considering introducing self-isolation for persons returning to Serbia from vacation. She announced that citizens would be informed on time if this decision was brought.

She also said that the virus "is circulating in all popular holiday destinations" and that the epidemiological situtation in these countries was worse than in Serbia.

Speaking on the start of the school year and opening of movie theaters and theaters, Kisic Tepavcevic said that there was no reason to for anyone to be concerned about being infected if all the prescribed measures were observed.
