New Slovenian Ambassador to Serbia Damjan Bergant on Sept. 21 said that he was confident the relationship between Slovenia and Serbia would be even better and more diverse during his term in office.

During a meeting with Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, Bergant said he expected that, after the situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic stabilized, a sixth joint session of the two cabinets would be held, and that return visits by the foreign minister would take place, the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.

Dacic expressed the hope that, keeping in mind the two states' good relations, cooperation in all areas of mutual interest - especially the economic sphere - would intensify further in the coming period, added the press release.
