Representatives of a part of the opposition, who met with the management of the Serbian broadcasting company, said on Nov. 19 that they expected a proposal from the outlet in a reasonable period of time for how it would introduce "the pluralism of thought" in its program.

"When we receive a proposal for how they think that they can achieve this, we will respond," Social Democratic Party official Konstantin Samofalov said at a joint news conference held by nine parties which was represented by a three-member delegation in the talks.

He explained that in the next month or two he expected more TV debates but that he hoped for some changes "in the coming days." Samofalov also called on other parties and  movements such as the United Opposition of Serbia to join them, recalling that they had invited them to their meetings before without success.

Democratic Party of Serbia leader Milos Jovanovic stressed that the meeting with the station's management was not a form of pressure on the station's editing policy but the opposition's legitimate right.
