Representatives of the Social Democratic Party, the New Party, the Democratic Party of Serbia, Don’t Let Belgrade D(r)own Initiative, the Green Party, One Out of Five Million Association, the Office for Local and Innovation Policies, and the Local Front have backed draft measures for free and fair elections proposed by the Center for Research, Transparency and Accountability (CRTA).

In the evening on Dec. 21, the New Party said in a release that the measures proposed by CRTA included a necessary level playing field in election campaign, equal media representation, freedom of choice and equal voter rights, the protection of election rights and the roles of the election administration, which is deemed crucial for the integrity of an election process.

“It has been agreed that the suggestions and measures proposed by CRTA be reviewed within organizations for to develop a joint platform of the parties interested in participating in the announced European Parliament-brokered social dialogue,” the New Party said in the statement.
