COVID Claims 19 in Serbia, 834 Newly Infected

In the last 24 hours, 19 people have died of COVID-19 in Serbia, bringing the death toll to 6,558, the covid19.rs website said in an update on Nov. 9.

New cases in the same time frame equaled 834 out of 9,389 tested. There are 3,827 patients currently hospitalized with the disease, 137 of whom are on ventilators.

Since the outbreak of the epidemic in Serbia, there have been 700,408 confirmed cases of infection, while 3,929,245 people have been tested.
 
Zoran Bekic, head of the Belgrade Fair vaccination site, said on May 9 that the latest records showed that 36 percent of the adult population in Serbia had been vaccinated against the coronavirus, while 28 received a second dose. In Belgrade, 45 percent of residents have had their first shot, while 35 percent have had two shots.
