COVID-19 Kills 11 in Serbia, 248 Newly Infected

In the last 24 hours 11 people died of COVID-19 in Serbia, raising the death toll of the epidemic to 6,865, it was announced on May 31.

According to the records of the Serbian Institute of Public Health, 248 new cases of infection were confirmed among 8,684 persons tested. There are 661 patients currently hospitalized with COVID-19, 46 of whom are on ventilators.

A new shipment of vaccines against COVID-19 made by Pfizer-BioNTech containing 81,900 doses arrived in Serbia on May 31. According to media reports, this was a regular delivery of vaccines from this manufacturer.

The vaccines were delivered to Belgrade's Torlak Institute of Virology, Vaccines and Sera.
