At the opening of the 10th edition of Arms and Military Equipment Fair, titled Partner 2021 in Belgrade, President Aleksandar Vucic said that investments in the development and strengthening of the domestic defense industry would continue.
Recalling that Serbia’s policy was the preservation of peace and stability, Vucic underlined the importance of strengthening domestic defense industry and equipping the army with modern arms and military equipment.
“When we speak about peace and stability, in the world of interests it is imperative that there is no mercy for the weak, in the world of interests there exists respect and it is therefore important to develop our defense industry for to be able to defend peace and stability,” Vucic said.
According to Vucic, the development of the domestic defense industry is also important so that Serbia could not be humiliated or threatened. He added that the Serbian state, throughout its existence, had been known for its defense industry, stressing that in the past few years the Serbian army and defense industry “have been put up on a pedestal” of the people’s trust.
